Dori and Alia Mouzannar Collaborates with Zaha Hadid

Jewelry designers Dori and Alia Mouzannar have joined with Zaha Hadid to showcase their work at the Zaha Hadid Design Gallery, London. Zaha Hadid has designed a piece in collaboration with the House of Aziz and Walid Mouzannar for this event. Founded in the 18th Century, the Mouzannar legacy is invigorated by its 6th generation of fine jewelry creators Dori Mouzannar and Alia Mouzannar. Operating as a complimentary diptych – each with an independent line, their designs illustrate perfectly on one hand their respective universes, and on the other their common heritage. Dori presented his Meteor collection and a re-edition of his Gothic and Lava lines, Alia her Modular collection, as well as a concise retrospective of their previous designs. Meet Lebanese “Sitt el Sitteit” at Singapore Art Fair

Stop by the the Lebanese Pavilion curated by Janine Maamari at the SINGAPORE ART FAIR. Themed ‘Contemporary Lebanon: Art Beyond Violence’ the Lebanese pavilion will be artistically rich comprising works inspired through personal historical experiences from both young, emerging and renowned artists who are living in Lebanon and abroad. We’re loving Sitt el Sitteit chair by Najla Zein. Sit el Sitteit, an informal Lebanese expression used to describe a woman of respect, elegance and beauty, is a wooden chair shawled by an apparently soft furry stole actually made of innumerable prickly toothpicks. From afar, the ordinary chair appears to be covered by an elegant, sensual, feminine item. It is only at closer look that the reality of its texture is revealed.
