Gentle Monster has teamed with Fendi to create a capsule collection called “Gentle Fendi.” The collection, which launches today, merges the sunglass South Korean eyewear brand imprint design with Fendi’s expert craftsmanship in order to create two unisex models of eyewear.
There’s Gentle Fendi No. 1, which features a narrow cat-eye frame with various logo details marking throughout. The logo of both brands marks the tips of the eyewear, with the overall model reflecting on Gentle Monster’s unpredictable design methodology, as well as Fendi’s lively spirit and history.
The second model, the Gentle Fendi No. 2, is an oversized, aviator-like frame that features bright color details throughout, and is said to be based on the contrasting identity of each brand.
Both models come in three separate colorways as pictured above.
Alongside the launch of the collaboration, both brands have come together for a special pop-up shop entitled the Gentle Fendi Café, which will take place at Gentle Monster’s flagship in the Apgujeong district of Seoul, South Korea. The installation will take place for three months, starting May 8 and ending July 29, whereby visitors can experience various art installations based on the collection and brands, as well as experience various exclusive treats created specifically for the café.
