Marylin Monroe is the new global ambassador of the American cosmetics brand, Max Factor. One of the world’s most glamorous women still makes waves 53 years after her death.
Celebrating 80 years this year, Max Factor is said to be the brand behind the famous transformation of the ordinary brunette American girl, Norma Jeane, into the platinum-blonde Hollywood queen, known as Marilyn Monroe.
“Marilyn made the sultry red lip, creamy skin and dramatically lined eyes the most famous beauty look of the Forties and it’s a look that continues to dominate the beauty and fashion industry,” said Max Factor global creative design director, Pat McGrath.
“It is the ultimate look that defines glamour – nothing else compares. Ruby Tuesday, inspired by one of Marilyn’s favourite Max Factor lipsticks, is still my go-to red today for an instant shot of glamour, and continues to be one of the most popular shades for both make-up artists and real women.”
This is not the first time the beauty legend is chosen as the face of a beauty campaign. In 2011 she was Marilyn Monroe was the face for MAC unveiled as the face of Chanel No.5 in 2013 after she declared that she wore nothing in bed but a few drops of the famous Chanel No.5 fragrance.
