Multi award-winner Nada Ghazal has added the coveted title of ‘Woman Entrepreneur of the Year’ to her ever-growing list of awards. A gala dinner event was organized by BLC to announce the award at the Casino Du Liban, that was attended by invite-only affluent guests and was televised LIVE on LBCI earlier this month.
“I’m truly honored and humbled by this experience. We worked really hard over the course of one year to attain this award, fully knowing that the competition was fierce, and like everything we commit to, we gave it our all” said Nada Ghazal, winner of ‘Woman Entrepreneur of the Year’. Nada, who thanked the little girl in her who dreamed of owning a successful business, also thanked those who contributed to her winning the award including her family and the jury members from whom she gained invaluable advice.
The Brilliant Lebanese Awards in its 6th year is an instrumental program at BLC bank that focuses on 4 pillar offerings: financing, advisory, training and exposure to Lebanese entrepreneurs. The program attracts hundreds of applicants but only 6 female candidates make it to the final stage of the competition where a jury selects the winner according to the following four criteria: financial performance (30%), creativity (30%), sustainability and scalability (25%), and social responsibility (15%).
In addition to the award, Nada received a monetary reward of USD30,000 and more importantly will receive guidance and mentorship from BLC to fulfill her immediate future plans of growing her business by launching jewelry lines targeting new audiences and opening her e-commerce site.
It is worth noting that since the inception of her jewelry brand Nada G™, Nada has been awarded for her jewelry, designs and business obtaining global awards such as ‘JCK’s Rising Star Las Vegas’ award in 2012 by ‘Jewelers Circular Keystone (JCK)’, the most respected voice in the jewelry industry in the US; ‘Best Innovative Design Award’ for her bespoke ‘Fusion Ring’ from ‘2012 Premier Middle East Watches, Jewelry & Pens Awards’; and the ‘Editor’s Choice Award’ in 2012 for her jewelry piece ‘Crawl’ from ‘International Jewellery London’ (IJL), the UK’s most established premier jewelry trade event. In 2017, Nada ends the year with one more accolade for her business from one of the most respected banks in the region, BLC bank.
