Ninousha: Challenging Tradition Through Bespoke Fashion

Rana Tabbara, better known as “Ninousha” is a Bahraini/Lebanese, American-born designer who creates the most wonderful fabric designs. Starting off with reinventing traditional silhouettes for women, such as the Bahraini men’s Bisht, Lebanese Sherwal pants, the Japanese Kimono and the Saudi Madas, or Zbeiri, Tabbara brings color and flair to everything she does.

Having lived in many countries throughout her life, Ninousha has managed to create her own style, mixing East and West trends making her brand attractive to women of all nationalities.

Having studied Interior Design and with a fierce interest in photography, Ninousha’s passions have inspired her to create a unique range of designs.

Her use of colors and fabrics, combinations of textures and embroidery have resulted in a truly international, feminine collection. After three years in the market, Ninousha can be found in Dubai’s Urbanist Store, House of Fraser in Adu Dhabi’s Yas Mall and in Bahrain at Saks Fifth Avenue at Bahrain City Center and Tilly’s Concept Store in Seef Mall.

Ninousha’s Bishts are unique. Each is handmade for the client and they represent a bespoke piece that represents and mimics the mood, style and finesse that its owner seeks. Each piece is tailored with the client’s artistic specifications, all directed by Ninousha, and executed by talented tailors.

Ninousha, her eponymous brand, develops fashion that branches out from traditional pieces, keeping people familiar with the past and yet still connected to the contemporary world through the innovative use of fabrics, finishes, color combinations and a mix of organic textures such as pure linen, cottons and other natural blends.

Ninousha’s Bishts, harem pants, Kimonos and Madas slippers are perfect for women of all nationalities, ages and styles.

Ninousha is someone to keep your eye on!
